REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The development of Engeline Christina Megawe (Angeline)'s murder case were unfolding. Its involving many rules which were violated by her adoptive mother, Margriet Christina Megawe. Minister of Women Empowerment and Child Protection, Yohana Yambise which was escorted this case from the beginning said that Margriet involved violations of many rules of law.

Yohana said Margriet was currently named as a suspect of child neglect. However, she was also suspected of illegal adoption that violated again the points of the Child Protection Law.

"In this case, she (Margriet) has involved a lot of regulatory legislation. In addition to neglecting child, she may also conduct illegal adoption," she said when contacted by ROL, on Monday night, June 15.

Currently, she said, Margriet has not been named as a suspect killer because the most obvious was the neglect of children. Engeline allowed staying in the house that was so dirty with dozens of pets. In fact, the omission of adoptive parents eventually led to sexual crimes which had done by the suspect Augustine Tai Hamdamai, to Engeline.

Engeline adoption process was also erroneous. In the notarial deed mentioned that Engeline could meet her biological parents after the age of 18 years. Yohana described it as something wrong. Adopted child should be allowed to meet with his biological parents anytime. It could also be called as part of an illegal adoption process which Margriet had done.

Of the two violations, Margriet could threatened a minimum of 15 years in prison. Moreover it added with coated article, if she proved to be involved in the murder of eight-year-old girl.
