REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR -- Engeline’s remains, an eight years old girl of murder victim, finally brought to the funeral home, Kedungpal village, Glenmore, Banyuwangi, East Java, on Tuesday evening, June 16, by using ambulances of Banyuwangi Family Association (Ikawangi) after completing administrative processes in mortuary installation of Sanglah Province General Hospital (RSUP) Denpasar, Bali.
Parking lot space of mortuary installation’s Sanglah Hospital filled with citizens who want to see the repatriation events of Engeline’s remains. Meanwhile, dozens of cars came to accompany ambulance which was carrying the victim’s remains.
Repatriation of Engeline’s remains was very special. According to Wiryono, a transporting driver of remains entourage, in Gilimanuk crossing the entourage will be transported by ferry which specially prepared for entourage of Engeline’s remains.
In Sanglah Hospital, sound of prophet shalawat was reverberating. Reading Alfatihah and tahlil followed Engeline’s departure. Principal of SDN 12 (Elementary School) Sanur Denpasar, Ketut Ruta, said Engeline entered and registered in the school as Protestant. But she did not agree if there were questioning Engeline’s Islamic burial.
"Why it must be questioned. The important is Engeline’s remains could soon be buried and he was calm in the God’s side," said Ruta.
Previously, there were rumors that Engeline’s remains were canceled to be repatriated to Glenmore, Banyuwangi, East Java, on Tuesday, June 16, because the process of filing and administration has not been completed.
