REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Transportation for Eid will increased the prices again compared to regular ticket. Director General of Land Transportation of Transportation Ministry (Kemenhub), Djoko Sasono said this year the land transport will re-apply the tariff increase (tuslah) policy.
"The policy will be same as last year," he told ROL after a hearing between the Directorate General of Land Transportation and Committee II of DPD RI in parliament complex in Senayan on Thursday, June 18.
Because there was no change, continued Djoko, so it used the policy of the upper limit tariff and the lower limit tariff.
By doing so, the transport entrepreneurs should set tariff in accordance with that provision in order not to burden consumers and still create a climate of healthy competition.
To ensure passenger safety, the Transportation Ministry will also conduct unannounced inspection (sidak) of the bus of Eid transport. "We will do randomly inspection at certain terminals and on certain armada," he said.
By doing so, he hoped that the transport entrepreneurs could provide decent armadas so as to provide comfort and safety for passengers.
