REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) deplored the attitude of the Selection Committee Team (Pansel) of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)'s leader’s candidates who were less open about the registrant profile of KPK's leader’s candidates.
"At least we or others could give a warning, for example administrative matters. Ideally it opened," said Coordinator of the Division of Law and Justice Monitoring of ICW Emerson Yuntho, on Sunday, June 21.
Emerson said, with the opening of the candidates registrant profile, KPK could accept input faster from various stakeholders related to registrant figures. In addition, he added, the public also takes time to observe and provide an assessment of all registrants who enter.
"We ask to open it so that we could provide input from the beginning. But, the reason they were afraid to be discredited, moreover they just have been registered," he said.
Previously, the spokesman for the Pansel, Betti Alisjahbana said, the names of KPK's leaders candidates will be opened after passing the requirements of the administration or on the 27th of June.
Betty said, the public is given 30 days to submit information regarding the track record of candidates who pass the administration process.
