REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAYAPURA -- The Jayapura district prosecution office has arrested ST, head of the Papua land transport office on charge of corruption.
ST, who is charged with embezzling Rp965 million of fund for transport subsidy, was put in detention cell after the prosecution office wrapped up investigations and his dossier is ready for court trail.
Jayapura chief prosecutor Tumpak Simanjuntak said the fund was spent on fictitious subsidized projects.
The case has been investigated by police and the prosecution office functioned only to proceed with the dossiers to be ready for trial, he said.
The suspects is now detained at the Abepura detention center,he added.
Other suspects in the same case included IM, the head of the state run land transport company Damri for jayapura.
