Police to investigate dwelling time process in all ports

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Police continued to investigate the case of bribery and graft in dwelling time process of container. The Head of the Criminal Investigation Police, Commissioner General Budi Waseso, confirmed that police will investigate similar case not only in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, but in all ports in Indonesia.

“The investigation will be in all ports in Indonesia. We don’t only focus on the large one, but also the small ports,” he said, Friday (7/8).

He continued, if the police finds similar case, then it will be investigated in accordance with the law. Even if the suspect is in the level of ministry.

“My team in criminal investigation has been followed up the case,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Head of Jakarta Police, Inspector General Tito Karnavian, said that the police will also examine the Ministry of Industry related to the dwelling time case in Tanjung Priok. The Ministry of Industry will be the second ministry investigated since previously the police also examined the Ministry of Trade.

"Later we will call the Ministry of Industry,” Tito said.
