REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, UJUNG KULON -- Environmental Affairs and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya has said that President Joko Widodo asked her to improve the country's national parks, and particularly to upgrade their added values.
The head of state also asked every party to help address problems existing in Indonesia's 51 national parks, she said here, Saturday.
"If necessary, personnel who do not perform well, should be replaced," the minister said.
In accordance with the president's instructions, the environmental affairs and forestry ministry is currently identifying national parks as sources of new foreign exchange.
Minister Siti Nurbaya released a number of animals to mark the commemoration of the National Natural Resource Conservation Day in Ujung Kulon National Park located in Banten Province.
