REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) responded the drought in some areas by creating artificial rains. Budget allocation provided was Rp 200 billion. The Government kept updating the data of drought in some areas of Indonesia who later became recommendations in anticipation of drought.
"In the implementation of artificial rain, we are working with the military," said the Head of BNPB, Syamsul Maarif, Monday (10/8).
During the drought in 2015, BNPB has determined a number of points of artificial rain in Central Java, West Java, Lampung and West Nusa Tenggara.
The Artificial rain spread by using plane II Hercules, casa 295 Air Force, casa 212 in West Kalimantan, which belongs to the Ministry of Agriculture.
