REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SAMARINDA -- Search still continued for four foreign divers reported missing since Saturday evening in the sea of Sangalaki island, regency of Berau, East Kalimantan.
Head of the East Kalimantan Disaster Control Agency Wahyu Widhi Heranata said until Sunday night a rescue team continued search for the missing divers.
Wahyu said the four including three Italians - Ms Michela (33), Alberto (36) and Daniele (36), and a Belgian Vana Chris (29) came from neighboring island of Derawan .
They - all seven including a guide Oslan, came to that location for diving sport, he said.
Earlier all seven people were reported missing but Oslan was found safe and two other Valeria (34), an Italian woman and another unidentified, did not join the divers instead they went snorkeling.
Oslan was found safe but weak that he needed medical treatment at an health center in the island of Derawan, Wahyu said, adding Oslan could not yet be asked for details.
They left the island of Derawan to Sangalaki for diving, but until late that afternoon they failed to appear at the place where their boat was waiting for them , therefore, they were declared missing at 19.10 local time, he said.
"Until now search is still continuing for the four missing people," Wahyu said Sunday evening.
