REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has offered condolences over the Trigana airplane which has lost contact with local flight authority on Sunday at 2:55 p.m. local time.
"(I offer) condolences over the victims of Trigana TGN 267 accidents. Let us pray together," the president said in his twitter account which was monitored by Antara here on Sunday night.
Previously, the Ministry of Transportation confirmed that Trigana Airplane with flight number 267 lost contact during its flight from Jayapura to Oksibil.
"The Trigana Air PK-YRN with flight code IL 267 did not land and we have lost contact with them as informed from the Air Traffic Control at Oksibil," the Chief of Public Communication Center of the ministry Julius Andravida through the short message.
The flight from Jayapura to Oksibil is estimated to take 55 minutes.
The airplane is piloted by Capt Hasanudin with four crew members Co-pilot Aryadin, Engineer Mario, as well as stewardess Ika and Dita.
