REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAYAPURA –- 54 bodies of victims of Trigana aircraft that crashed in Oksob, Bintang Mountains, Papua, have been found. The head of National SAR Agency (Basarnas), Vice Marshal FH Bambang Soelistyo, confirmed that the rescue teams had found 54 bodies of passengers and crew of Trigana Air.
"Currently, the evacuation process is being pursued," said Bambang.
The victims of the aircraft that crashed on Sunday (16/8) are currently being evacuated by car and plane. They will be evacuated to Jayapura after previously brought to Oksibil.
"Hopefully the weather is nice so that the evacuation can be done immediately," he added.
