REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SENTANI -- National Search and Rescue Team (Basarnas) Chief FH Bambang Sulistyo has promised to reward the entire team involved in the search and evacuation process of the Trigana Air crash victims.
"I want to give credit to all the people involved in the search and evacuation, who worked with great dedication," Sulistyo said on Thursday.
The search and rescue (SAR) team members will be awarded by the TNI, Police, SAR, and community leaders for being directly involved in assisting the search and evacuation of victims, and ensuring that the operation ran safely and smoothly.
"This would include community leaders who supported the operation at the right time," he remarked.
Sulistyo also expressed his appreciation for the government of Papua Province, and the administration of the Pegunungan Bintang district.
"I appreciate the cooperation leant by all parties, it was very helpful," Sulistyo added.
He also revealed that the bodies of the 54 crash victims had arrived in Sentani and had been taken to a hospital in Bhayangkara for identification purposes by the DVI Team of Papua police.
"It was the responsibility of the Papua police's DVI team to identify the victims," he added.
