REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAYAPURA –- Flight Data Recorder (FDR) box belonged to Trigana aircraft PK YRN with flight number IL-267 has been found by the rescue team, Thursday (20/8), 12:58 LT (local time). The aircraft was crashed in Atenok village, Oksob District, Bintang Mountains, Papua, Sunday (16/8).
54 bodies of all victims had been evacuated from Oksibil airport, Bintang Mountains, to Sentani Airport, Jayapura, Papua. Evacuation held on Thursday (20/8), was conducted in two stages. Each stage was evacuating 25 victims.
The first flight arrived at Sentani Airport around 19:45 LT and the second flight arrived at Sentani around 10:54 LT.
Head of Information and Library Jayapura airfield, Mayor Sus Juni Kurniawati, said the first evacuation was using a Twin Otter and the second evacuation was using ATR aircraft belonged to Trigana Air.
"The each ATR aircraft was carrying 25 bodies, so that there had 50 victims were carried from Oksibil to Base Ops in Jayapura airfield at Sentani Airport," he said.
Then, a total of 50 bodies were carried by ambulance to Bhayangkara Hospital for the sake of identification by the DVI Team. Thus, the 54 crews and passengers of Trigana Air IL-267 have been evacuated from the location.
