REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, LONDON -- The Indonesia government and the Government of El Salvador facilitated diplomatic and official passport holders to visit each other country, in order to encourage the relations and cooperation between the two countries.
Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Retno LP Marsudi, with Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, Hugo Roger Martinez Bonilla, signed the Agreement of Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports between the two countries, on the Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation/FEALAC) in San Jose, Costa Rica, Friday (21/8).
"The signing of this agreement will encourage the exchange of visits of the two countries, which is is expected to increase trade and investment cooperation", Retno said.
Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador expressed optimism about the future of bilateral relations between Indonesia and El Salvador.
Diplomatic relations between Indonesia and El Salvador had begun in September 2011. In the last four years, the two countries have had two significant agreements to boost bilateral relations.
"I believe the future of bilateral relations between the two countries will increase in many areas," said Hugo Martinez Bonilla.
