REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Although known for many beautiful sights and impressive tourist areas, many foreign tourists were reluctant to visit Africa for several reasons. In African continent, there were many cases of diseases that lead to death.
Deadly diseases from Africa such as HIV and Ebola, are sucking human immune system and can cause death.
In the state tourism roadshow of South Africa, Deputy Minister of Tourism of South Africa, Thokozile Xasa, said that he is optimistic about foreign tourists especially from Indonesia to visit South Africa.
"Ebola disease comes from Central Africa, not from our country. So do not be afraid of the virus," he said.
Government of South Africa also provided health facilities to prevent its citizens and foreign tourists not to infected with the deadly virus.
"We provide a specialized team of doctors and nurses, and super-sophisticated medical equipment to prevent this disease, so tourists do not have to worry to visit our country," he added.
