REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SLEMAN -- The decision of National Mandate Party (PAN) to join into the Great Indonesia Coalition (KIH) is aimed to help the government overcome the (economic) crisis, the PAN's founder Amien Rais stated.
"With PAN's turnabout to the government's coalition (from the red-and-white coalition), we hope it becomes a starting point of the nation to escape from crisis. So that it needs to strengthen the government," Rais said in a press conference at his house here on Thursday.
Rais revealed that the joining of PAN into the government has been considered for the sake of the nation which is being hit by the crisis.
"The country is in crisis, and we need to help the government to solve the matter. PAN has decided that we need to assist the government faces various problems and leave the crisis zone," he affirmed.
Rais believed that the government needs to cooperate with the entire people of the nation to develop strategies to face challenges stem from home and abroad.
