REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANGERANG -- The pair of incumbent candidates of South Tangerang election, Airin Rachmi Diany and Benyamin Davnie allegedly committed seven violations during the initial period of election campaign.
Data gathered by Republika from Election Supervisory Committee of South Tangerang, Thursday (10/9), the seven violations include five public reports and two findings. Commissioner of Election Supervisory Committee of South Tangerang, Muhamad Acep, explained that the two findings were the circulation of repayment stickers of property tax settlement and a covert campaign in Pamulang, last 30th August.
"The five public reports were a covert campaign in BSD, a covert campaign in GOR Puspitek in Mayor Cup Tournament, allegation of money politics in the meeting with residents of Kampung Sawah, a covert campaign in Ciputat and a covert campaign in Pondok Aren," said Acep, Thursday (10/9).
He said that so far, there was only Airin and Benyamin who committed many violations of the campaign. Until Thursday afternoon, Election Supervisory Committee has not yet received a report on the alleged campaign violations by other candidates of Tangsel.
Related to the violations, Election Supervisory Committee has conducted a series of clarifications by calling a number of witnesses and collect evidences. The verdict against seven violations will be presented on Monday (14/9) after the plenary meeting of the Election Supervisory Committee.
