REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemristekdikti) discussed about cooperation in education, science and technology in "ASEAN-Russia WG on Science and Technology" which was held in Moscow, Russia, 23th to 24th September.

"In the meeting, we discuss cooperation in education, science and technology which has been existing," said Secretary General of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Ainun Naim, in Moscow, Wednesday (23/9).

During the meeting, Ainun gave a speech in his capacity as an officer of Kemristekdikti and also Chairman of the ASEAN Committee on Science and Technology.

He explained that the Ministry had various agendas regarding the exchange of information on technological developments with Rusia. The agendas were seminar, students exchange, and cooperation on research.

"Also the use of the various areas of technology eg advanced materials, nuclear utilization for humanity, information technology and so on," he added.

Ainun said, currently, 300 Indonesian students were studying in Rusia. It was significantly increased compared to the previous year, which amounted to only 100 people.
