REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKASSAR -- Aviastar aircraft type DHC6 with registration number PKBRM which was departing from Masamba to Makassar, South Sulawesi, was reported to have lost contact.
Public Relations staff of Maros Police, Andi Illank, said from information received by Maros Police, the Makassar-Masamba Aviastar aircraft had departed from Masamba at around 14:35 pm.
This aircraft was scheduled to arrive at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport at around 15:39 pm. However, until the time specified, the aircraft was never provided information.
"On the plane, there are seven passengers, consisting of five adults and two babies," said Illank, Friday (2/10).
Three crews in the aircraft were Captain Iri Afiady, Co. Pilot Yudhisthira, and Engineer Sukris. So far, the police and the airport were still trying to make contact and sought the certainty of location of the Aviastar aircraft.
