60 thousand Indonesian pilgrims leave Mecca

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MECCA -- After the pilgrimage was completed, about 60 thousand pilgrims from Indonesia gradually left Mecca to return to Indonesia or come back to Medina.

Head of Information Systems and Integrated Computerized Hajj (Siskohat) of Hajj Committee (PPIH), Reza Muhammad Marzal, said 60,047 Indonesian pilgrims had left Mecca on Monday at 24:00 local time.

"A total of 146 fleets that were carrying 60,047 pilgrims had left Mecca to Jeddah and Medina. They were accompanied by 730 hajj officials," he said, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, Tuesday (6/10) morning.

He explained, of the 146 fleets, 101 fleets with 41,412 pilgrims since 28th September 2015 have already departed from Mecca to Indonesia toward King Abdul Aziz International Airport, in Jeddah.

While, other 45 fleets with 18,635 pilgrims have left Mecca to Medina since 3rd October 2015 for Salah Arbain. After completing the Salah, they will return to Indonesia through Amir Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz airport (AMAA) in Medina.
