REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will soon invite district heads, mayors and governors across Indonesia to seek their inputs regarding his one-year-old government, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung has said.
"On October 21, 2015, on the occasion of the first year of Jokowi-JK government, the President wants to listen to (their) inputs and suggestions," Anung said while speaking on the Presidential Palace compounds here on Tuesday.
The meeting with the district heads, mayors and governors will happen in two groups but on the same day, he said.
He said the meeting will also discuss how regions will face fundamental changes in the field of regulations.
"Besides regulations, the meeting will also discuss budget absorption and simultaneous regional heads' elections. So, it will discuss three different topics," he said.
On the evening of October 21, the President will invite CEOs or president directors of state-owned companies across Indonesia, he said.
"The President wants to encourage state-owned companies to not just remain home players but to prepare themselves for the AEC as well," he said.
He said many changes have been made to the regulations to allow state firms to become world-class business entities.
