REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI was a state-owned company that produced the greatest profit in first half of 2015.
BRI's net profit stood at Rp 11.95 trillion in the first semester of 2015 or reached 18.6 percent of total net profit of all companies of state-owned enterprises (SOEs), which reached to Rp 64.2 trillion. BRI's profits have reached 49 percent of the income target throughout 2015.
"The economic slowdown was pressing SOEs revenue target achievement. However, in terms of profit, SOEs was still on target," said consultant of SOEs, Rhenald Kasali, in a press conference at Ministry of Enterprise, Monday (26/10).
In second position as largest profit producer, was PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, amounting to Rp 10.98 trillion. It was followed by PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, amounting to Rp 10.34 trillion, and PT Pertamina (Persero), amounting to Rp 7.20 trillion. Other state-owned companies made a profit under Rp 3 trillion in the same period.
Total revenue of SOEs in the first half of 2015 reached Rp 807.4 trillion or 37 percent of revenue targets during 2015. The total assets of SOEs stood at Rp 4,664 trillion in June 2015 or rose by 1.84 percent (year to date), compared to December 2014, amounted to Rp 4,580 trillion.
