REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, LOMBOK -- Minister of Rural, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration, Marwan Jafar, asked Governor to channel rural funds to villages.
"I ask this rural funds to be prioritized to build rural infrastructures. In NTB, 92 percent of rural funds are used to build infrastructures," he said in West Nusa Tenggara, Friday (30/10).
Development of rural infrastructure was among others to build rural roads, irrigation, bridges, and water supply. However, the development of the infrastructures should not be given to contractors.
"This means that rural communities have to be fully involved. So that the velocity of money can be really enjoyed by the local villagers," he added.
If the village has good infrastructures, the rural funds can be transferred to economic development of the village. For example, to make village-owned enterprises (BUMDes), village kiosks, fish auctions, development of SMEs, polyclinics, and others.
