REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PEMATANG SIANTAR -- Landslides killed two residents of Pematangsiantar, North Sumatra Province, and injured 14 others following incessant heavy rains on Tuesday evening.

Four people were seriously wounded and have to receive intensive medical care in nearby hospitals, Sarengat, a local resident said.

The landslides moderately damaged nine houses, and seriously damaged two others in Banjar village and Simarito village, Pematangsiantar.

The rains also triggered floods in Pematangsiantar.
