REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Terrorism issue became focus in discussion of 8th Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA). Vice Chairman of Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP) of House of Representatives (DPR) Rofi Munawar said, background of acts of terrorism, extremism, and sectarian violence needed to be focused on, instead of focus on the terrorists behind the acts.
"Movement of terrorism is up and down. There may be support from big countries behind it," said Rofi, while attending a meeting of Executive Council Plenary Session of 8th APA, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Wednesday (9/12).

According to him, elements behind acts of terrorism were things that need to be considered. There should not be any countries that supported the movement of terrorist groups, especially if the acts were associated with religion.
The issue of terrorism and extremism got special attention from the delegates of several countries during the plenary session. One of resolutions of the session was condemned a number of terrorist groups that carried out acts of terrorism and violence, including ISIS, al-Qaeda, the Taliban, Boko Haram, and Zionist Jews, for violations of human rights and International Agreement.
