REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANGERANG -- President Joko Widodo has requested that the railway construction project connecting the Soekarno-Hatta airport in Banten Province with Manggarai station in Jakarta can be completed in the first half of 2017.
"The airport railway construction project started earlier this year. The process of land clearance is expected to be completed in February 2016. We hope that we will be able to use the train in the first half of 2017," the President said here on Monday.

President Joko Widodo, better known as Jokowi, further said that it might take about 40 minutes by train from the airport to reach Jakarta.
"This is a solution to the issue of transport between Jakarta and the airport," the head of state pointed out, adding that the train project should be completed in the first half of 2017.
