KPK officially led by Agus Rahardjo

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) volume 4 was officially led by Agus Rahardjo. Agus beat four other candidates for chairman of KPK in the election through voting system.

Agus would be accompanied by Alexander Marwata, Saut Situmorang, Basaria Panjaitan, and Laode Muhammad Sharif, who received the most votes during the election of five KPK leaders, conducted by Commission III of House of Representatives (DPR).

Agus previously served as Principal Secretary of Procurement Agency of Goods/Services in 2000 to 2010 and became chairman in 2010 to 2015. In the  selection of chairman of KPK, Agus gained 44 votes and Basaria Panjaitan got 9 votes, while the other three were nil.

Election of five KPK leaders was conducted through a voting. From a total of 54 members, one by one member of Commission III used their voting rights at 06:30 pm.
