REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Two judges of the State Administrative Court (PTUN) of Medan are facing a jail term of 4.5 years and a fine of Rp200 million each on a graft charge.
Dermawan Ginting and Amir Fauzi are charged with receiving US$5,000 each in bribe from North Sumatra Governor Gatot Pujo Nugroho and his wife Evy Susanti, who are now suspects in corruption.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) prosecutor Risma Ansyari at the Jakarta Corruption Court said on Wednesday Nugroho and his wife gave the money via OC Kaligis, who is the family lawyer.
Dermawan and Amir Fauzi were member of the council of PTUN judges headed by Tripeni Irianto Putro reviewing the authority of the North Sumatra high prosecution office in investigating alleged embezzlement of state money in social aid involving the treasurer of the North Sumatra provincial administration Amir Fauzi.
The KPK prosecutor also demanded 4.5 years for Amir Fauzi.
The court already sentenced OC Kaligis for 5.5 years imprisonment, Tripeni Irianto Putro 2 years , PTUN secretary Syamsir Yusfan for 3 years.
