REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MALANG -- Arema Cronus Indonesia soccer team failed to reach the final round of the Indonesian Torabika Championship 2015 tournament after being defeated 2-3 by Mitra Kukar of East Kalimantan on Sunday night.

Mitra Kukar beat Arema Cronus in the second leg match which took place at Malang Kanjuruhan Kepanjen stadium on January 17, 2016.

During the first leg of the tournament, Mitra Kukar defeated the East Java`s Arema Cronus 2-1 in a match which took place at the Aji Imbut stadium in Tenggarong, East Kalimantan on Saturday (Jan 9).

Mitra Kukar squad will step to the final round after winning on penalty shootouts (3-2) after equalizing 2-1 on aggregate (3-3) at the match.

In the final which will take place at the Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta on January 24, 2016, Mitra Kukar will meet Semen Padang FC.

Semen Padang soccer club finally stepped to the final round after defeating Pusamania Borneo FC 4-2 at the Haji Agus Salim stadium, Padang on Saturday (Jan.16).

As many as 15 soccer clubs participated in the soccer event starting November 10, in the tournament which was initiated by the Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander.

The soccer tournament is organized to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Indonesian military.
