REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jakarta Police general crime division head Sr. Comr. Khrisna Murti said one of the key witnesses in the death of Wayan Mirna Salihin (27) has been secured. She/he placed in a special shelter.
"One of the key witnesses placed overnight in a shelter," Khrisna said on Friday (22/1) at Jakarta Police Office.
Khrisna didn't answer when he asked whether the witness received threats or not. He just said, the protection for a key witness was needed for court purposes.
"So, if there is a trial, she/he didn't have to come away from home," he added.
One of the key witnesses was known as SR. She/he was asked to throw pants of Jessica, the other witness in the death of Mirna case.
Jessica told the police investigators, that her pants were torn. Because of that, she couldn't wear it anymore and asked SR to throw it away.
However, Krishna said that pants shouldn't be one of evidences directly. He explained, several evidences in the form of instructions, compliance, and information was sufficient.
"Several evidences was sufficient and now we have to summaries into investigation and interrogation report (BAP)," Khrina said.
