REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, GIANYAR -- The East Java Provincial soccer club Arema Cronus Indonesia defeated Bali United 3-1 in the Bali Island Cup, which took place at the Kapten Diptha stadium, here, on Thursday afternoon.
Arema's player Cristian Gonzales scored the first goal in the 29th minute and another in the second half, at the 56th minute.
On their part, Bali United only managed to score one goal through a hard kick by Wayan Sukadana in the 77th minute, successfully getting the ball past Arema's goalkeeper I Made Ward and slamming it into the right-hand corner of the net.
Arema then scored a third goal by Alfarisi in the 79th minute.
The score remained at 3-1, with Arema celebrating their victory when referee Chandra Zein from West Java blew the long whistle.
Arema Cronus coach Millo Sesuja said his squad had played with the intent of winning.
