REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Social Affairs Minister Khofifah Indar Parawansa said she is optimistic Indonesia free of red district in 2019.
"Mojokerto and Tangerang regency had responded positively to the closure effort of red district in various places in Indonesia," Khofifah said on Wednesday (2/3).
Khofifah added, red district needs to be closed because the human trafficking is against the law. In the red district usually occurred exploitation and sexual violence. Moreover there is usually also drugs, alcohol, and gambling.
"That is social ills. If we want to build a prosperous society to live healthy physically and mentally then localization should be closed," said Khofifah.
