REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo on Wednesday received a delegation headed by Song Tao, the head of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, here.
"President Joko Widodo received the head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Song Tao. They discussed a variety of things," Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung said here on Wednesday.
The Chinese delegation conveyed greetings from President Xi Jinping.
In addition, he noted, the meeting reflected the strong commitment of the two countries to enhance friendship.
"The meeting also showed the commitment of the two countries to increase mutually beneficial cooperation," he remarked.
He revealed that Song Tao would also visit the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) headquarters.
"They want to honor an invitation from the PDIP," Anung said.
Song Tao also conveyed an invitation to President Jokowi regarding the G-20 Summit in Han Zhao.
"President Joko Widodo usually attends G-20 summits," he observed.
