The news came after previous hoax information, and has been verified by the family of the deceased.
"Please sincerity of pray for our mother," said Shifa Fauziyah, one of the daughters of the deceased, told to Republika.co.id in Jakarta, Wednesday.
The figure who also served as Chairman of the Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI) in women empowerment department during this life, died from illness in MMC Hospital, Jakarta at 7.15 am. Her bodies will be in the funeral home, Jati Waringin, Pondok Gede, Bekasi, West Java, Number 50-51.
Tutty Alawiyah was born in Jakarta, March 30, 1942. She has served as Minister of Women Empowerment in 1998 to 1999 in the Cabinet of the Seventh Development Cabinet and the Development Reform Cabinet. In 1992 to 2004, the alumni State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta also was active as a member of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR).
