REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports Imam Nahrawi condolences also condemned the rape and murder case experienced by junior high school student, Yuyun by 14 teenagers in Bengkulu.
In his opinion, Yuyun’s case becomes a heartbreaking tragedy, opening his eyes, and public awareness that there are still many problems and threats faced by children and young people around us.
"Deep condolence as well as condemn the rape and murder case, and I asked the perpetrators get penalties severely, if necessary punished emasculated," Imam said in Jakarta, Tuesday (3/5).
Ministers also continued Yuyun’s tragedy went into sadness for all the people of Indonesia. Sexual violence and murder which happened to be a minor, there are still many that have to be fixed in the social life, the lives of children and youth in this country.
Imam also invited public to raise awareness and oversight of the development and the social dynamics of children and young people from a variety of potential and the negative impact that damage and destroy their future. He also reminded the parents were able give attention of education quality for their son and daughter.
"Parents should be able give attention to the quality of children's education, especially education which boosts faith, piety, and character," said Imam.
As is known, on Saturday (2/4) Yuyun was killed after being gang-raped by 14 teenagers who were drunk under the influence of alcohol. From the confession of the perpetrators, they said that Yuyun was dragged, raped and then killed by the 14 teenagers before they dumped Yuyun’s bodies into a ravine.
