REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- The Surabaya district court sentenced Rudianto to 15 years' imprisonment for drug trafficking.
Kammaruddin, the presiding judge said the convict was also required to pay a fine of Rp1 billion or an additional jail termk of six months.
Public prosecutor Denis Andreani demanded a life imprisonment with a fine of Rp1 billion for Rudianto, who was found to be in possession of 66.28 grams of methamphetamine.
Rudianto was arrested by police in October, 2015.
In Solo, Central Java, police nabbed a senior high school student RS (17) when trying to sell a sack of methamphetamine.
RS told his investigators that the drug belonged to Didit Sutanto (25), who was arrested later.
Didit admitted that the drug was his own, which he received from someone without identification.
Meanwhile 15 drug death row convicts have been reported to face execution soon.
The execution would be the third under the present government after the first in January and the second in April last year.
President Joko Widodo has said he would not give clemency for drug convicts.
