Three new stations of Tanah Abang-Maja route officially launched

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAJA -- Director General of Railways Ministry of Transportation Herman Dwiatmoko accompanied by Lebak Regent Iti Octavia Jayabaya inaugurate the operation of the three stations, Kebayoran, Parung Panjang and Maja stations that already finished for new more modern look. The inauguration in Maja Station, Lebak, Banten, was held on Wednesday (11/5).

Herman explained that the construction of the three stations had started in mid-2014.

"Total financing for the construction of three stations come from the state budget amount Rp 112 billion with multi-year contract," said Herman Station Maja, Lebak, Banten, on Wednesday.

The existence of three new stations in Tanah Abang-Maja routes is expected to increase public interest, especially people who in the suburbs of Jakarta to switch using train transportation for mobility from or to Jakarta.

"Modernization of the station is also part of the focus of the Ministry of Transportation in order to improve the quality, capacity, safety and security of transportation," he added.
