REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAGELANG -- Some eight thousand people attended a free medical treatment camp set up at the Lumbini Park in the Borobudur Temple complex by the representatives of the Indonesian Buddhist Association (Walubi) to commemorate Vesak 2016.
Walubi Chairperson Siti Hartati Murdaya remarked here on Thursday that the free medical camp will be held on Thursday and Friday.
Murdaya noted that Walubi had cooperated with the Air Force, Army, and Police to hold the free medical camp with some 200 doctors.
The doctors comprised general physicians, dentists, and specialists, including those in the field of internal medicine, ophthalmology, pediatrics, skin and venereal diseases, gynecology, anesthesia, physical and rehabilitation therapy, and clinical pathology.
In addition, some 368 paramedics, comprising surgical, ophthalmic, and dental nurses, anesthetists, power analysts, laboratory workers, pharmacists, and assistant pharmacists were part of the camp.
