Jokowi holds closed-door meeting with national commission for women

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held a closed-door meeting with commissioners of the National Commission for Anti-violence against Women (Komnas Perempuan) at the Merdeka Palace, here, Wednesday.

The head of state was accompanied by Social Affairs Minister Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Minister for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Yohana Susana Yembise, and Minister/State Secretary Pratikno.

The commission's delegation comprised its chairperson, Azriana, and five other commissioners.

Following the meeting with the commission, Jokowi chaired a limited cabinet meeting on the development of transport infrastructure in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tengerang, and Bekasi.

In the afternoon, the president is scheduled to attend a ceremony to mark the death anniversary of Muhammad Taufiq Kiemas at Megawati Soekarnoputri's residence.
