REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- East Java Provincial Government has canceled 150 Regional Regulations (Perda) of districts or cities in East Java. Cancellation of these regulations is an order from the Indonesian President Joko Widodo through the Minister of Home Affairs.
Head of the East Java Provincial Legal Bureau, Hima E Bagijo, said, the regional regulations are canceled due to the need for adjustment. Currently, the East Java provincial government has recorded and canceled 150 regional regulations and decree by the regent.
"From 150 regulations, which had been signed by the governor of East Java were 105 regulations, we still waiting the 45 nullification of regional regulations," Hima said when met at his office on Wednesday (15/6).
Hima explained, local regulations were canceled for some reasons, such as the authority of the regulations has been moved based on Act No. 23 of 2014 on Regional Government. For example, legislation on education and regional regulation of excavation C whose authority has been transferred from the region/city to the province, besides, the regulations that have been corrected by the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK). The regulations also canceled due as it seen hampered investment.
