REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jakarta Deputy Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat has exhorted the residents of the capital city to enforce 'The Five Public Orders' to achieve the goal of ensuring a better Jakarta.
The exhortation came after a ceremony commemorating Jakarta's 489th birthday at the National Monument field, Central Jakarta, today.
"On this anniversary of Jakarta, I would like to invite all residents of Jakarta to enforce 'The Five Orders' to make Jakarta a better city for all of us," he said.
The former mayor of Blitar, East Java, stated that he is optimistic that Jakarta can be a safe, comfortable, clean and harmonious city if everyone followed the practice of 'The Five Orders'.
"Together, we can make Jakarta a better city by following 'The Five Orders'," Djarot noted.
He explained that these five orders comprised residential order, order among street vendors, order in garbage disposal, traffic order and demonstration order.
It will help the people, along with the Jakarta government, to not only maintain the cleanliness in Jakarta but enforce better habits for a better quality of life in the city.
"Not only physically, 'The Five Orders' will also maintain internal chastity within every human being. That way, the people can advance in life along with the city's progress," he concluded.
