Two regional regulations of West Java removed

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- The Ministry of Home Affairs of Republic Indonesia, has removed two regional regulations (perda) of West Java Province.

West Java Governor, Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) said almost all regional regulations which considered could disrupt the investment being evaluated or removed.

"One regional regulation was deleted because had been canceled by Constitutional Court (MK). So maybe one regional regulation to remove," Aher told to reporters on Wednesday (22/6).

He added, deleted Regulation on Mining and these regulations have been removed by MK before decision of the Minister of Home Affairs.

"We will clarify," he said.

Because, he said, if the articles of these regional regulations which thought hampered, it does not means these regional regulation canceled. West Java provincial government will ask West Java Legislative Council (DPRD) to revise the regional regulation.

Aher said, the Bureau of Justice and Human Rights of West Java Provincial Secretariat was invited by the Ministry of Home Affairs in Jakarta, on Thursday (23/6), to further discuss about deletion of regulation in West Java.

Not only legislation, he said, the provincial government will ask for clarification about gubernatorial regulation (Pergub) or mayor regulation (Perwal) and others. West Java province is waiting for firther instructions about these regional regulations.

"We have been ready to escort, when regional regulations are considered to hamper the investment," he said.
