REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Iwan Fals lined up to fill the newest Falcon Pictures movie soundtrack entitled Sabtu Bersama Bapak or "Saturday together with Father". The legendary singer will sing one of his songs called the “Song of Love".

"I'm happy that the Song of Love can be the soundtrack of the movie 'Saturday Together with Father'," said Iwan Fals, Wednesday (30/6).

There is a reason as to why the singer has accepted this offer. According to singer of "Bongkar", the film adaptation of the best-selling novel works by Adhitya Mulya has a close relation to him. That is about the struggle of a father to continue to protect his children despite no longer being together.

"I can relate to the emotions in this film, because I am also a father, that’s why I think this movie is really good,” said Iwan.

The same feeling will also be felt by the audience while watching this film that will be aired in July 5, 2016. Moreover, the film was aired at the moment of the Eid holiday and can be enjoyed with the family.

"I hope this film will be watched by many people. And film goers of ’Saturday Together with Father' can also carry a good message in this film," he said in a written statement.

The film tells the story of a father named Gunawan Garnida (Abimana Aryasatya) who knows that he will not be able to survive for very long. Gunawan knows that there is possibility that he might not be able to see his two children, Satya (Arifin Putra) and Chakra (Deva Mahenra), growing up. Gunawan decided to do something so that his two children feel that they did not lose a father in their lives.

As an adult, Satya and Chakras have their own problems. Satya had a problem with her foster home together Rissa (Acha Septriasa) and Chakra having trouble finding a partner. Mother Itje (Ira Wibowo) was not immune from the problem, when she decided to go on her own path.
