Bomb in the chicken coop kills student

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDA ACEH -- A student junior high school (SMP) in Pidie Jaya, Aceh province, was killed by a bomb blast.

Spokesman of Aceh Police Commissioner Goenawan in Banda Aceh said the victim named Boy bin Shukri (15 years), residents of the Village Cot Stui, Ulim subdistrict.

"The victim, a son of Sukri and Safwani, killed by a bomb blast in the chicken coop behind his house," Goenawan said on Thursday (14/7).

The bomb blast occurred on Thursday (14/7). Boy who junior high school student Bandar Dua, Pidie Jaya was in the chicken coop. At the time of the incident, the victim did not go to school due to illness.

Victim was at home with his father.

"However, at 08.30 am, the victim was cleaning the chicken coop behind his house. Around 09.00 am there was an explosion at the back of the victim's house," he said.

When his father heard the sound of the explosion, he went to back of the house. The victim's father saw his son lying died.

"The victim's father had fainted. By a citizen and keuchik or local village head of Ulim contacted the police for investigation. The explosion of a homemade bomb thought to have come from the legacy of conflict in Aceh," Goenawan said.

When the crime scene occurred, Tim of Pidie Police has found Boy. Meanwhile the evidence found like a green scissors, white cable three meters long, a motorcycle carburetor, a pair of red slippers, and seven pieces fragments allegedly from the bomb. The victim's family refused the autopsy. The victim was handed over to the family. Meanwhile the evidence has been secured in Pidie Police.

"Police will conduct further investigation and interrogating witnesses in order to collect information related to the incident that killed the junior high school student," Goenawan said.
