REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Minister of Village, Rural Development and Transmigration Marwan Ja'far said, his ministry has proposed budget 2017 amounted of Rp 14.8 trillion. This budget will be used to meet the needs of the priority program.
The letter of the Minister of Finance No. S-549 / MK.02 / 2016 dated June 30, 2016, concerning the budget of ministries/agencies and the completion of the work plan budget of the ministries/agencies year 2017, mentioned the budget limit of the Ministry of village in 2017 as much as Rp 5.36 trillion.
However, Marwan said, the Ministry of village has proposed additional budget in 2017 amounted to Rp 9.2 trillion. So the total proposed budget amount of Rp 14.8 trillion.
"The allocation for the Village, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Ministry and each the program has referred to national priority programs in accordance with the policy of money follows program. We need support of commission V House of Representatives for the additional budget so that the target of the plan of Ministry of the Village in 2017 can be achieved," Marwan said on Wednesday (20/7).
Based on policy of money follows program, the government has set 24 national priority programs, including priority of disadvantaged areas and priority rural development, and rural areas.
"As for the priority targets in accordance with the National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJM) 2015-2019 is to alleviate at least 80 underdeveloped districts, to reduce the underdeveloped villages at least 5,000 villages, and to increase independent villages at least 2,000 villages," Marwan said.
