REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANJARMASIN -- The government through the Ministry of Education and Culture will revoke aid to schools proven committing violence on new students, especially when conducting the school orientation. Head of Education Department of South Kalimantan Ngadimun said it had sent a supervision team to schools in 13 districts or cities and has conducted surveillance while school orientation (MOS).

According to him, based on the evaluation of the Ministry of Education, MOS implementation has been done by the schools, need to be refined due to few schools that make MOS as a place for revenge by its students to perform various actions even violence.

"We hope, it will not happen again," he said.

Anticipating this incident, the Ministry of Education and Culture Anis Baswedan issued a circular that activity MOS deleted and replaced with the introduction of the School Environment (PLS).

"Based on the report from our team, until now there has been no reports of school violence in the implementation of PLS," he said.

According to him, through PLS, students are given materials about the introduction of the school environment, school programs that will be implemented during the school year, and introduced to the teachers.

Through this PLS, expected the violence activities could be avoided.

For school break the rule and still do violence, the administrative sanctions will be given by the district and the city administration where that school located.

While the Ministry of Education and Culture through the Provincial Government of South Kalimantan, will revoke aid to those schools.
