REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of Rural Development and Transmigration Eko Putro Sandjojo has asked Republika Daily socializing village program. The people in the village hoped could received information about government programs for rural development.
"The era of transparency recently needs mass media networks," Eko said while visiting Republika office in Jakarta, Thursday (4/8).
Media networks make people in the village know the government does not ignore the villages. Residents also provide advice and input on rural development. They also can speak up related to potential and advantages of the village. The potential will be encouraged by government to more comprehensive development, so can be reached by Indonesians, even overseas.
Eko said that the mass media can hold the award for the village. There are a number of categories of assessment to measure the development of the village.
"Not only measure of success, but also lack of. The good villages assessed, and bad is indicated for the evaluation," he said.
