REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Honorary Board of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) has decided to dismiss Irman Gusman as DPD chief after the Corruption Eradication Commission has named him a suspect.
The board arrived at the decision at its plenary meeting led by its chairman AM Fatwa and its deputy chairman Lalu Suhaimi Ismy at the parliament building on Monday evening.
The board decided to dismiss Gusman from his post as he had violated the ethics or rules of DPD article 52 letter c stating that chairman and deputy chairman of DPD can be dismissed if he/she is named suspects.
