REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- PT Transportation Jakarta (Transjakarta) has provided service for people with disabilities named Transjakarta Cares. "Transjakarta Cares service that will pick up people with disabilities then drop them off at the nearest Transjakarta bus stop," said President Director of PT Transjakarta Budi Kaliwono in Jakarta, Thursday (10/20).
He explained, through the service, persons with disabilities will be able to access safe and affordable transport. "They have right for the facility and get subsidy from the Jakarta Provincial Government, including access of transportation," Budi said.
For initial service, he said, Transjakarta has launched five cars with seven drivers and 20 task forces. Transjakarta will provide 40 units of vehicles to give best service. "In addition, Transjakarta Cares will serve two zones, among others, Central Jakarta and West Jakarta. The service starts from 08.00 am to
5:00 pm every day," Budi said.
Transjakarta Cares service can be ordered via call center (021) 1500102. Transjakarta officers will pick up customers to the nearest bus stop for disabled people.
