He was also considered spreading provocative sentences about ethnicity, religion, race, and inter-group (SARA) through his personal Facebook account on October 6. "It's not the video that becomes the problem, it's his three sentences commenting the video," Public Relations Jakarta Metro Police Comr. Awi Setiono said.
Awi then read the three sentences to the reporters. According to Awi, those sentences were not found in the video of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama's speech during official visit to Seribu Islands. This are the three sentences that made Buni Yani as suspect.

"Bapak-ibu (Muslim voters)...Being lied with Surah Al Maidah 51 (going to hell) Bapak-ibu also been fooled."
"It seems like something not good is going to happened with this video."
According to Awi, expert witness has convinced the investigator that the three sentences have violated the Article 28 verse 2 Laws on IT. "The words in parentheses were added by Buni himself," Awi said.
So far, the police already have four evidence, namely witness statement, expert opinion, letter, and clue. The police also believed Buni has violated Article 45 (2) Laws No. 11 of 2008 on IT. "Buni was accused with defamation and incitement element of SARA with maximum penalty of six years or a fine maximum Rp 1 billion," Awi remarked.
